William F. Lyon, CFP®, MSFS

and Senior Wealth Advisor

Bill took over the reins of the firm in 1985 upon the unexpected death of our founder. As the CEO, Bill focuses on the strategic vision of the firm and thought leadership to transform our industry and our community.

Known as much for his community service, writing and speaking, Bill is among the most respected and credentialed financial professionals in the region. In addition to guiding the business for thirty-two years, he still works directly with a select group of clients to develop retirement and estate plans that transcend financial issues. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Financial Services degree from The American College. He also holds five professional designations: CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, RICP® and CAP®.

He is the owner of The Lyon Group and the creator of The Financial Navigation SystemSM and the Holistic Balance SheetTM. Bill and his wife, Barb, live in Anderson Township with their two sons.


Robert A. Nienaber III, JD

Vice President of Advisory Services
and Wealth Advisor

Bob is a partner at The Lyon Group with nearly a decade of experience in serving our clients – building relationships and financial game plans that bring clarity and inspire confidence for the road ahead.  He brings a wealth of perspective to our clients, working with medical professionals, business owners, young families and retirees with equal ease.

Prior to joining The Lyon Group, Bob worked in consulting after earning his Finance Degree from the University of Kentucky and Law Degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law.  Bob is active in his church and in the community, having served as President of the Northern Kentucky / Greater Cincinnati UK Alumni Club. He lives in Anderson Township with his wife, Stacey, and their four daughters.  If not at home or work, you might find Bob on the basketball court, where he loves to play and coach.


Tony Nienaber

Vice President of Benefits Planning
and Financial Services Representative

Tony focuses on helping business owners and their employees understand, evaluate, and design cost effective employee benefits. He began his financial services career in 1978. In his forty years in the industry, Tony has mentored many successful professionals.

Tony has been an active member in his community serving as past president of Holy Cross Athletic Boosters and of Covington Latin School Alumni Association. He was also an AAU basketball coach. His AAU teams have won the Kentucky championship 3 times and have qualified for the National tournament 5 times. Tony has two sons, Bob and Nick, and four granddaughters, Leah, Natalie, Emilia and Ada. He resides in Batavia.


Josh Polkow

Director of Financial Planning

Josh Polkow joined The Lyon Group in 2018. Josh oversees the Financial Planning Process, which includes meeting preparation, financial analysis and helping clients navigate the process. Prior to joining The Lyon Group, Josh spent 7 years at another Registered Investment Advisory Firm and has over 11 years of industry experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bethel College and is pursuing his CFP designation.

Josh lives in Loveland with his wife, Monica, and their three sons. They are actively involved in their church and youth sports in Loveland. When he’s not working, you will likely find Josh at one of the boys’ sporting events or on the water, fishing or paddling.


Andi Giordullo

Director of First Impressions

Andi Giordullo joined The Lyon Group in 2017 as the Director of First Impressions. She works with The Lyon Group and their clients to provide the utmost service and attention. Andi also manages the firms marketing and social media marketing. If you call or visit The Lyon Group, you will more than likely see or talk to Andi first thing.

Prior to joining The Lyon Group, Andi served small businesses and nonprofits in the areas of business administration and marketing. Andi holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s degree from Liberty University. She and her husband live in Milford and have two sons.


Joy Lawrence

Manager of Benefits Administration

Joy moved to the Cincinnati area from Johannesburg, South Africa in 1994. Prior to joining The Lyon Group, Joy and her husband managed a financial services firm in South Africa. She is especially detail-oriented. Joy oversees processing new business and manages our employee benefits design, as well as administrative duties, bookkeeping and payroll. She lives in Union Township with her husband Greg. They have one daughter.


Barbara Lyon

Manager of Internal Accountability

Barb joined The Lyon Group in 1997. Barb oversees the Human Resources and Bookkeeping functions for the firm. Prior to joining The Lyon Group, Barb worked as a Landscape Architect. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Idaho and a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois. She is dedicated to both family and community and has served in several community leadership positions throughout the years. She lives in Anderson Township with her husband, Bill.


Stacey Nienaber

Stacey Nienaber, JD

Liaison for Client and Professional Advisor Relationships

Stacey joined her husband, Bob, at The Lyon Group in 2014. She truly loves getting to know our clients and building a relationship with their families, which makes her a valuable asset as a Client Relationship Liaison. Stacey truly believes in the importance and value of family-owned businesses and the positive impact we can have for our clients and community. Educationally, Stacey earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and her law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Personally, she spends most of her time building into her own family and community which includes living with Bob and their four daughters, Leah, Natalie, Emilia and Ada in Anderson Township.  She loves going on family hikes and spending as much time outside as possible.


Elinor J. Lyon

Marketing Assistant
Office Manager, Emerita

Elinor entered the financial services industry in 1956. She served The Lyon Group in a variety of positions over her sixty-two-year career. She stepped down from her leadership role in the organization in 1999 to pursue a full-time grandmother role. However, she makes time to assist with our marketing efforts from time to time. Elinor has lived most of her life in the Georgetown Area. She has one son, one daughter and four grandchildren.
