Client Service Associate

Description

The Client Service Associate plays an important role in maintaining client relationships and in providing financial services support to a select group of clients. With responsibility for protection planning, product design, implementation and service as well as providing internal support for our Senior Wealth Advisors, the Client Service Associate can be part of a first-class team and build an excellent career under the leadership and reputation of The Lyon Group.

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Oversee our protection and legacy planning process
    • Understand insurance and annuity products and how they integrate into comprehensive financial planning. Help with plan design and proposals.
    • Assist clients in new account setup – shepherding them through the process (applications, underwriting, account funding, delivery, etc.)
    • Provide exceptional account service for insurance and annuity products
    • Mine the client base for opportunities
  • Prepare advisors for client meetings, conduct needed research and participate in client meetings as needed
  • Proactively communicate with clients
  • Share responsibility for office and phone coverage with Office Manager
  • Participate in required meetings, training, and continuing education requirements
  • Continually look for ways to improve the wealth planning process
  • Attend firm client events
  • Support Senior Wealth Advisors and the team as needed
  • Build skill set through cross-training and client-facing experience to foster career path

Industry Experience & Licensing Expectations

  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus, especially working with affluent or high net worth clients
  • Life and Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain)
  • Series 7 (or 6 and 63) Licenses (or willingness to obtain)
  • Clean U-4 and U-5 history

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Salary is commensurate with experience

Partner Path

  • Pursue continuing education (e.g. CFP®, ChFC®), licensing (Series 7, 65) and skill set across all areas of financial planning (risk management, retirement, investments, estate organization, college funding, etc.)
  • Learn and be able to articulate The Lyon Group Value Proposition
  • Build relationships with current clients and prospects. Take ownership of relationships assigned to you.
  • Passion prospecting – build network
  • Progress to Wealth Advisor position more heavily weighted to variable compensation
  • Responsible for leadership and development of the team as well as business development and production goals

Director Path

  • Pursue continuing education (e.g. CFP®, ChFC®), licensing (Series 7, 65) and skill set across all areas of financial planning (risk management, retirement, investments, estate organization, college funding, etc.)
  • Learn and be able to articulate The Lyon Group Value Proposition
  • Build relationships with current clients and prospects. Serve as point of contact to handle issues within your area of responsibility.
  • Continue to grow in your ability to add value to the firm with compensation growing proportionately – weighted more to base salary with healthy bonus potential.
  • Oversee and drive advisor production goals and potentially provide some coaching and oversight for junior team members
